A native of Ozark, Alabama, Robert E. Hunter was assigned principal of Brew Tech High School in July 2007 after serving three years as principal of Floyd Middle Magnet School for Math, Science, and Technology.  Prior to entering the secondary education field, Hunter had a distinguished career as an officer in the United States Air Force.

Hunter has a passion for teaching and learning, and he obtained his Education Specialist Degree from Auburn University Montgomery in 2002.  He also has a Master of Science Degree in Space Studies from the University of North Dakota, a Master of Education Degree from Alabama State University, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Louisiana Tech University. Hunter is also a graduate of the Alabama Superintendent’s Academy and a member of the Leadership Montgomery Class XVIII.
